ClubGrants
Mounties Group proudly contributes to one of Australia's largest grant programs, providing support to a variety of worthy causes in our local communities.
These include charities, sporting organisations, and not-for-profit community groups, and many other worthy causes funded through the program each year.
Mounties Group almost doubles
its ClubGrants contributions
SUPPORTING WEST SYDNEY, NORTHERN BEACHES & CENTRAL COAST
Despite an incredibly challenging two years for the Club and hospitality industry, this year Mounties Group has pledged more than $650,000 to local community groups via its most recent Category 1 ClubGRANTS, almost doubling its 2020 contributions at the same time last year.
With a commitment to support the local community, Mounties Group has donated $651,715 to 50 worthy projects, including those that support youth, families, seniors, children, and vulnerable members of our community within the Liverpool, Fairfield, and Northern Beaches communities.
Additionally, for the first time, Mounties Group’s contributions are also set to benefit the Central Coast Community after their successful amalgamations with two Central Coast Clubs earlier in the year. Grants are funded from Mounties Groups clubs including Mounties, Triglav, Mekong, Harbord Diggers, Halekulani Bowling Club, and Club Wyong.
Some of the notable organisations receiving support include, Ted Noffs Foundation, Australian Foundation for Disability, Autism Advisory and Support Service, Camp Quality, OzHarvest, Police Citizens Youth Clubs NSW, Miracle Babies Foundation, The Shepherd Centre, Queenscliff Surf Life Saving Club, Volunteer Marine Rescue, Camp Breakaway and The Lakes Surf Life Saving Club.
This year’s bumper contribution comes in addition to their ground-breaking multi-million dollar partnership deal with CareFlight, announced just last month, as well as other charitable donations the group makes each year.
In total this past financial year, Mounties Group donated an astronomical record of almost $10million to various local community support initiatives, further proving that Mounties Group operates to improve the lives of its members and their local communities.
Mounties Group President, Kevin Ingram explained that the pandemic had in fact made the group even more conscious to innovate and support more local community groups in bigger and better ways.
“NSW communities are filled with such incredibly talented and passionate people whose sole purpose is to help their neighbours live better lives. COVID has increased the need to support these causes, not lessened it,” he said.
“The ClubGRANTs program has come under scrutiny over the years, but we hear more and more from those that we support that without the funds, they simply would not be able to carry out the work which is why it is an important part of Club operations.”
“These ClubGRANTS are just one of the many ways Mounties Group is proactive in providing support, services, and facilities for the betterment of our local community,” he concluded.
Mounties Group CEO, Dale Hunt also weighed in on the current climate and how clubs should continue to do their part.
“The ClubGRANTs scheme is an important component of our Australian Club culture that we as a group, will always continue to support and seek ways to do better,” He said.
“As an organisation we are privileged to be able to give to worthy causes, and I’m pleased to advise that our ClubGRANTS contribution total is far greater than what is required to meet our obligations,” said Mr Hunt.
“We’d like to say thank you to our 160,000+ members for choosing to spend their time and money in Mounties Group venues. Every dollar spent with us means we can do more for our members and the community, and that is something to be proud of,” he concluded.
