Gio Launches Aperol Sunset Sessions with the Best DJs on the Beaches

Harbord Diggers' new rooftop restaurant and bar, Gio, is celebrating the return of warm weather with the launch of Aperol Sunset Sessions, featuring entertainment from some of the best DJs on the Northern Beaches.

Taking place every Sunday from 3pm and every Saturday starting Saturday 15 October, Gio’s Aperol Sunset Sessions aim to establish the rooftop bar as a new weekend destination for young people (and the young at heart) living on the Northern Beaches.

Local DJ acts including Barney Cools, DJ Random Soul, Cadell, Binary Feat. Johnny Gleeson and Paul Wheeler, James Mack with Arnott Olsen, Mark Matthews, Shaun Keble and Rob K will be gracing the Gio rooftop deck throughout spring and summer, showcasing some of the best talent from the local music scene.
Head Chef and Owner of Gio, Antonio Ruggerino, says that the event will quickly become a popular staple event on the Northern Beaches.

“Due to our enviable position on the rooftop of Harbord Diggers, Gio is lucky enough to have some of the best views in town, boasting a 180-degree outlook over Freshwater and Curl Curl beaches,” Antonio said.

“This makes us a perfect entertainment destination for summer on the Northern Beaches. Members and guests can come and enjoy stunning views, great food and even a refreshing Aperol Spritz while listening to some top tunes.”

Since its launch in April earlier this year, Gio has quickly established itself as a popular Freshwater hotspot thanks to its fresh take on simple Italian cuisine and trendy interiors.

“Our Aperol Sunset Sessions are a chance to prove that punters don’t need to travel south of the bridge in order to experience great entertainment and quality food and drink,” said Antonio.

Gio has also launched an exciting spring/summer cocktail menu to complement long afternoons soaking up the sun and warm nights tearing up the dance floor.

Gio’s Aperol Sunset Sessions take place every Sunday from 3pm and on Saturdays from 15 October. Entry is free and attendees can enjoy an Aperol Spritz for $10 from 3pm - 7pm.
