Harbord Diggers are asking locals what they love about their community

22 Feb 2016

Harbord Diggers is calling on snap happy community members to dust off their selfie sticks and showcase what they love most about the Northern Beaches as part of a new photo competition.

The competition, coined #thatsmycommunity is taking place via the Mounties Group Instagram account and encourages locals to upload photos highlighting what makes their local community special to them.

“Nothing screams the Northern Beaches like a beautiful shot of our picturesque coastline, stunning panoramas of our waterways and National Parks or even a selfie from the array of dining options,” said Dale Hunt, General Manager of Harbord Diggers.

“There are so many things that make our community such a great place to live and we are excited to see which gems our locals hold closest to their hearts.”

Along with their best picture, contestants are encouraged to write a short blurb, up to 25 words or less, on what makes their suburb special and can upload their entries to Instragram using the #thatsmycommunity hashtag and tagging @mountiesgroup.

“With the most creative snap winning a $1000 Red Balloon voucher, we’d love for it to go to a member of our local area – so get snapping!” added Mr Hunt.
