Harbord Diggers Launches Two New Dining Destinations
Harbord Diggers is launching its new casual dining establishment Dig Inn Café & Bar and its new street food vendor Diggers Diner tomorrow, with both set to form important parts of the new temporary club’s facilities.
Managed by high profile Sydney café operator Spiro Mylonas, the venues are sure to be a hit amongst local diners looking for fresh and convenient food in a relaxed and friendly setting.
With more than a decade of café business experience running Sydney’s City Espresso cafés and the acclaimed Black by City Espresso at Sydney Airport’s domestic terminal, Mylonas brings fresh ideas and top shelf customer service to the Club.
Dig Inn Café and Bar is an ideal meeting place for members and guests seeking a relaxed culinary experience, combining Australian favourites with views of Curl Curl and beyond.
“Dig Inn is a true celebration of the Northern Beaches lifestyle of casual, understated elegance,” said Mr Mylonas.
“With outdoor and indoor dining options, we want diners to sit back and enjoy the breathtaking views on offer, while enjoying great coffee or a fresh and delicious meal,” he added.
Also forming part of the new temporary club is Diggers Diner, a pop up food truck based from Evans Street specialising in gourmet ‘haute’ dogs.
“Picture a 1950s style caravan offering simple, eat with your hands fare, as well as a range of fresh juices, coffees and snacks,” said Mr Mylonas.
“Diggers Diner promises a convenient, friendly and tasty experience which we hope will become a hit amongst local walkers, beach goers and passers-by, as well as members and guests of Harbord Diggers,” he added.
Dale Hunt, General Manager of Harbord Diggers, said that Spiro will prove an invaluable asset to the new temporary club.
“Through his extensive experience operating a number of successful cafes throughout Sydney, Spiro has developed an understanding of what customers want and what keeps them coming back,” said Mr Hunt.
“We are thrilled to have him on board managing both Dig Inn and Diggers Diner and are excited to see his vision unfold over the coming months.
“Along with our rooftop bistro Gio under the leadership of Antonio Ruggerino, Dig Inn and Diggers Diner bring the dining trifecta to Harbord Diggers and will establish the temporary club as one of the Northern Beaches’ best foodie destinations,” he added.
Dig Inn Café and Bar and Diggers Diner are both open from tomorrow at Harbord Diggers. Reservations are not required. Gio will open to the public on 29 April.
