Giddy-Up for Melbourne Cup at Mounties
Melbourne Cup, the most iconic event on Australia’s racing calendar is nearly here and Mounties has your day covered with a winning food and drink menu and live coverage of all the races from 11.30am on Tuesday, 7 November.
This year, the prestigious event will be held at Mounties’ extravagant new 200-capacity The Sports Bar, located near the entrance on the ground floor. With plenty of room for members and guests to enjoy the race that stops the nation, betting novices and seasoned punters alike will be able to immerse themselves in the action via the extraordinary 110-inch TV at the Sports Bar.
With millions of Aussies across the country tuning in to the race on TV and online, the 3200m Flemington racecourse will be challenged by 24 contenders with punters eagerly taking on the odds with on-site betting facilities, and a $2, $5 & $10 sweepstake across The Sports Bar, TAB and Terrace Bar & Café.
Triple M radio personality, Anthony Maroon, will be hosting the pre-race event from 11.30am – 2.30pm together with music talent ‘Matt Jones Duo’, who will be entertaining members and guests with their entrancing performance. Nearby, at the Terrace Bar, harmonious group ‘Next Best Thing Trio’ will be entertaining the crowd with their classic hits from 12.00pm – 3.00pm.
