Mounties Supports the White Ribbon Organisation with Charity Party

13 Nov 2017

Mounties Group invites members and guests to attend their White Party on Friday, 24 November, with all proceeds going to the White Ribbon Organisation, which aims to raise awareness about violence against women.

Inspired by the white ribbons worn to demonstrate the wearer’s commitment to acting as a positive role model and advocate for change, party-goers are encouraged to dress up in their finest white outfits and revel in the tunes mixed by Rachel Phillips, Sydney-based DJ and producer of DJ Minx.

Winner of the first ever ‘EMI She Can DJ’ competition, DJ Minx has been a role model to many by proving that the DJ booth can be conquered by females. With the ability to capture the crowd’s attention, DJ Minx has mixed with some of the world’s greats, including David Guetta and Swedish House Mafia and will be sure to get the crowd going at the White Party this month.

Proceeds from the party will be going towards The White Ribbon Organisation, the only national violence prevention campaign that aims to raise awareness among Australian men and boys about the roles they can play to prevent violence against women.

The monies raised will assist the organisation in preventing violence in schools, workplaces and communities, the organisation hopes to raise awareness and also increase understanding about the prevailing issue.

Sponsored by Moët & Chandon Ice Imperial, the fun event will be held at Mounties’ recently refurbished Outdoor Terrace Deck, the party will begin at 9.00pm, ending at 1.00am. Members and guests are welcome to join and support this important cause while also having a fun night with friends and family.

Kevin Ingram, Mounties Group President said: “The White Ribbon Organisation’s cause is vital to a happy and healthy community. We are pleased to advocate for respect and safety towards women and we hope that everyone has a great time while supporting a meaningful cause.”
