Red Apple Day At Mounties In Aid Of Bowel Cancer Australia
18 Mar 2020
Mounties is celebrating Red Apple Day in support of Bowel Cancer Australia on Wedneday 20 June.
Members and guests will be able to show their support for Bowel Cancer Awareness by purchasing apples at the club, as well as a stall at Mounties’ gym, Ignite Health & Fitness.
Community Alliance - which runs the popular Rewards Club – Shop Local program in clubs around Australia – are donating the apples, and staff will also be participating in the day by wearing red shirts and donating gold coins.
Members and guests will be able to purchase a single apple for a gold coin donation, or three apples for $5.
There will also be the option of purchasing a commemorative pin for $2.
By purchasing an apple or pin, members and guests of Mounties will be supporting the vital work of Bowel Cancer Australia, a not-for-profit organisation who are striving for a future where no Australian dies from bowel cancer. At present, bowel cancer is the second most deadliest cancer in Australia, claiming the lives of over 80 Australians each week.
Kevin Ingram, Mounties Group President, said, “It’s very important to us at Mounties to give back to our community, particularly when it comes to health initiatives. Ignite Health & Fitness held a successful event last year, and this year are running this campaign across the club.
“It’s an extremely important cause and something we care passionately about, so we hope that we can continue to support Bowel Cancer Australia in the future.”
